Psychological Assessment

Psychological Assessment

As part of my work, I am available to facilitate psychological assessments for the following areas:

  • For infants and preschoolers: Emphasis on development, socio-emotional needs and school readiness
  • For children and adolescents: Involves a comprehensive analysis of cognitive, socio-emotional and learning areas
  • For immigration purposes: I currently provide immigration  related evaluations for extreme hardship cases

Different than therapy, psychological evaluations involve participating in several tasks and provide information in order to have an idea or hypothesis of a person’s behavior, personality and capabilities. In the case of children and adolescents, often times the idea of an evaluation arises after a concern on developmental, diagnostic or learning concerns. In terms of an adult, typical reasons of asking for an evaluation/assessment involve: loss in memory or executive functioning, emotional concerns, out of the norm behaviors, changes in mood, among others. Lastly, some court procedures might required you the need for an evaluation. At the end of the process you will receive a full report with the findings.
